Our Story
Good design never dies - It just needs a better canvas.
We’re a couple of guys with a shared passion for the art, graphics and typography of the past. After years of collecting old advertising, packaging, posters and signage, we suddenly realised this stuff would look great on a t-shirt. So Smite was born.
Our Smite tees bring the spirit of the past back to life by celebrating the times when design was made by hand - real and imperfect, just like us. Every design is carefully reproduced with respect for the original art style and presented to be bold, but not crass.
Some graphics are in mint condition, and that’s great, but some are really messed up - broken up by being reproduced too many times, misregistered thanks to ancient printing presses, faded over the years, or just trodden on too many times, and we like that too.
Real history, not trends
Each graphic starts with real reference material - vintage ads, packaging, illustrations, and signage - and is reproduced faithfully (unless it’s so far gone that it’s almost illegible). The result is a shirt that feels authentic, not costume.
